Maui, HI: Maui County prosecutors have filed murder and kidnapping charges against Gerald W. Galaway Jr. of Santa Cruz in connection with last week's slaying of Santa Cruz attorney Celestial Cassman on an oceanfront cliff on Maui. Cassman, 35, was found unresponsive around 7:30 p.m. Thursday near Nakalele Point by police officers responding to a report of a domestic dispute along a cliffside highway on the north end of Maui, said Lt. Owensboro, KY: Owensboro police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide. Police responded at 2:37 a.m. Friday to a report that a person had been shot at 3701 Burlew Blvd., Apartment 8B. When they arrived, officers found two people dead from gunshot wounds to the head, Sgt. David Powell said in a news release. He said a firearm was recovered at the scene.
